Same as mate, i probably attended more games in the late 70s and through the 80's both home and away when i was living in London

If my calculation is correct that's outside the 10 years.

About time there was a perk for being a season ticket holder.

Just doesn't seem right that true fans like myself who followed the club home and away throughout the worst times including relegation, administration and Division Two, and a potentially will not get a ticket, where as some will as they have brought their season tickets this season and been to some nice away grounds as opposed to Vauxhall Motors, Chesterfield and stockport will.

Now i'm not suggesting the club keeps records that date back ten years but surely their must be a way of giving those who followed us when we were in division two priority over the Jonny come lateleys, perhaps by making you produce five season ticket booklets from the last 16 years of hurt would be a fairer way of giving first priority. Who knows

        Rant over

see your point of view but i have to work every other weekend so no good to me some of us have jobs that are like that ie doc nurse fire police army etc...
          no joy for us
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

That's the reason my other half doesn't get one -- he can't guarantee how many matches he'll make because of work.
Luckily, his schedules have meant that he's made the majority of homes and a few aways, but still not enough to have justified buying a season ticket (well, cost-wise, anyway).

The whole ticket thing has me confused:

First of all I have a season ticket and got another ticket for my nephew so I am not having a go at anybody.

The issue I have with the club is season ticket holders should not have been able to buy extra tickets we have our ticket so what we are all doing is getting tickets for friends who do not have membership's how is that fair on members it is not at all.

Season tickets holders should get first dibs on away games, cup game's, Play off games and special events. Membership holders should be allowed first option to buy 1 ticket for home games and second option to buy away, cup, and so on after that tickets should go on general sale.

Finally someone that speaks some sense.

Agree entirely.I could, for example, have bought 2 tickets for a couple of mates at work (Arsenal and Spurs fans) who would have just come for the pish up.Why should they go and members not?.

All irellevant as i could not get any.

I've had a ST since 1974, and even when I've lived 100 miles from London I kept my ST going - sometimes I missed half the games in a season but I always feared that if I let my ticket lapse it would coincide with a fantastic season such as this and I wouldn't get back in! I saw it as a kind of insurance that I would always get a ticket for any big games that came along, and that has worked out for me.
The last few years have been difficult money-wise, as for many people, but you find the cash from somewhere.
This season we've been top since day one, and anyone could see that the Leeds game was likely to be a sell-out so the half-season tickets or last-5-game bundles would have taken care of it.
Whatever system was adopted, some/many would be disappointed. I was asked by several mates to try and get them a ticket today. I don't agree that as a ST holder I should be allowed to buy any more tickets, so I didn't try.
The "Glory-hunters" that some people talk about - what about the 30,000+ that went to Cardiff? Fantastic turnout, or glory-hunting?

I also think Qpr should go through it's records and you should get Loyalty points for every year you have had a season ticket say 10pts so people who have had one for twenty years gets looked after first. And it would be nice if they could do things like 25 years of season ticket you get to meet the players and manager before a game.

As for next year's season tickets they should do all season ticket holders a good deal say £50 more if brought early and new season ticket holders should have to pay say £100 to 150 as they are getting a ticket just for the prem they should soak up more of the increase.

My message to the club look after the fans that have looked after the club.

                      Two excellent posts Roose.

Sadly, I fear your common sense approach and sense of fair play will be to no avail when it comes to how the club make certain decisions going forward.

Despite working 16 hours and finishing at 6am this morning, I set the alarm so as to attempt to get an extra ticket or two with the intention of passing them on to some people who for financial reasons were not able to guarantee themselves a ticket for this game.

Interestingly, having read Fawny's post above, I'm glad I couldn't get through as it could have deprived others who were as deserving.

I sincerely hope that however much anybody wants to attend this game, they will not allow others to profit from making it possible. Not going to happen though, is it?

Every club or business needs new fans or customers. No-one is happy if it's the same 12,000 that turn up week in week out. If anyone is, they're sadly living in a little bubble.

If you're a QPR fan, you're a QPR fan and good luck to you. Anyone who isn't a season ticket holder or a member is on sticky wicket moaning about "glory hunters" IMO.

I have a ST, and have had for a few years now. Been all over the place, following mostly sh*t.
But didn't go very much when we were last in the Prem. I lived further away then.
                        People have reasons.

Doesn't make me a "real fan", or a "glory hunter".

The playoff final saw mates from other clubs go along with QPR fans..fathers got tickets for kids when the maybe can't afford to take them every week...I think the cramped seating lack of parking and also the way your treated like **** in your own ground puts many off going every week...time for a new ground holding 25k with option to increase to 30 odd.put it just off the a40 near hillingdon and you will get crowds of 22000 every week...we have a large fan base out that way....only other option is to buy up some of the BBC land when they sell it off....

                                well said, Nodge

should I get special dispensation for watching QPR at 3.45 am on my PC after looking for streams, links, info, w/e for half an hour? Am I a more die hard fan than someone who lives 15 mins away from LR? If a father wants to bring his kids to their first qpr game are his kids glory hunters? I hope we get 30,000 applications for season tickets next year, who knows, 12,000 indians might just crawl out of the woodwork, so get your tickets fast.
