YES. This is why I love the internet. It's as good, if not better, than the kids playground.

            Yes.
Even if we don't get a points deduction, or a suspended one for next season, I think the players' morale will be shot to pieces -- all that hard work for nothing -- until the decision is made, and we could well slip into the play-offs and fail in those as well.

Absolutely no chance of stopping us getting promoted. There will be no points deduction. I just cannot believe all the negativity on here tonight. What the hell has got into you all?

How will we be promoted when the FA are about to throw the book at us?

I cannot believe how you can be so alarmingly pessimistic.
First of all, we have strikers, we have defence, we have Kenny and we have Warnock and Adel, how could we possibly lose so many games ?

As for the players morale, this is the sort of thing that brings a team together, it's called the 'siege mentality'. Relax, it's not like we are putting our youth team out there.

Nobody throws the book at the END of the season, German, I suppose you had no clue about that. We'll pay at the start of next season. Move on.

the spanish might refer to it as a 'lack of cojones'.

I was at a loss to explain how alarmingly poor we were at Millwall.
If finding out the news was the reason, then I cannot see NW being able to motivate the players to another win this season.
After all, what's the point of bothering if the FA can take the points away?
                          Basic sports psychology, I'm afraid.

18 points is a conservative estimate -- unlikely, but it could be 18 for the 6 games Faurlin played in Aug-Sept, and 10 points for the use of an unlicensed agent.
As I said, I think it's unlikely, but it is a big cloud on the horizon and will weigh on the players' morale very heavily.

18 points is way beyond realistic.
how many were west ham docked
for Tevez? None, because they said they were guilty,
fine, still early days, we can change our mind and admit guilt if it means no points deducted, anyone would take that deal. This is not cut and dried, they are not going to take the division leaders to the cleaners, if we were at the bottom of the league, I could see points deduction happening, but again, this is NOT administration.

Unfortunately, i dont think the "oh but we're top of the league, not near the bottom" defence will hold up.
