Hi all,
I am Neil Roberts daughter and i just wanted to thank you all for the kind messages you have written about my dad.... it makes me so proud to read them all and to know how loved he was and not just by his close family but also his QPR family> he has brought us up to support a brilliant team and I made a promise to continue his loyalty through myself .
Thank you once again... especially Joe Hylton (dad spoke so highly of you) ###

All the best to you Hayley, I knew your Dad to speak to, used to do all the aways back in the day, he was a great bloke, 100% QPR (as you well know).
Joe Hylton's a good mate of mine, me and him got to know each other after my old Dad passed away some years ago. My Dad, also an R, knew your Dad as well, we both found Neil most helpful and often wondered why he was no longer involved at QPR.
Anyway, Joe has very eloquently kept us all advised of how things were with your Dad, and as you can see on here your Dad has 100% respect from all who met him, and indeed from those who never had that pleasure.
When you lose somebody close, there is a lot of sadness and heartache, but I'm sure that the esteem in which your Dad was held will be of comfort to you and your family at a difficult time.

Hayley you are a very brave young lady and your Dad (and Mum) have clearly made a fantastic job of bringing you up. I remember your Dad from the late 1970's through the early 80's through the QPR family of basically travelling home and away supporting our team and he was always someone that I and my friends looked up to particularly on away trips. Not sure why but such was his and others like Vic Stephenson and Joe Hyltons presence.
When I saw him with Stan on TV during the Coventry game, I got quite emotional and that shows what an effect your Dad had without probably ever knowing it.
Condolences to you and your Family and your Dad will never be forgotten. ###X

Never got to speak to or meet him but they way people have spoken about Neil on here show how much of an inspiration he is to the fans and how this club have been drawn together into a family. R.I.P Neil

well as you know hayley there just wasnt a bad bone in neils body,he was just a love machine,he was always a warm hearted man who was fantastic company
going to qpr was made more entertaining by neils songs that he knew, i just dont know how he made up or learned so many,but back in 1982 my father died and i went off the rails a bit, and he used to give me a few bits of advice,andi could see he was all heart.so god bless you hayley ,i hope you can recover from this terrible loss,im not sure if i ever will,but i must try to ,and i can say with true honesty neil has enriched my life....................................

Like many on here never knew your father personally, but felt as I knew him through this message board. He was certainly a well loved man and he loved Rangers. My sympathy's are with you and your family at the loss of your father.

Your dad was a great bloke. Very friendly and well respected and liked. He was mr QPR. He epitomised what the heart and soul of the club is about.
