He was the next big thing at 15 years old. Couldn't stop scoring at all junior levels for USA.

6 clubs, 150-odd games, and about 15 goals later...Poor Freddy...Just another one of those Champ Manager has beens, like Tonton Zola Moukoku.

Probably give this one a swerve mate.
      Your mum would love me...

He was good a few years ago? lol. was he? at school level, yes.

He has never fulfilled that potential. He was massively hyped. Ferguson even got sucked in by it all and offered the boy a trial, didn't take him long to send him packing. He started of as a striker but when he played at a slightly higher level than the MLS it quickly became apparent he was too lightweight. He plays more as an attacking midfielder but he would be broken in two in the championship.
He is destined to play in the MLS or some very average european league.

Well he was good. The number of games for Benfica proved that. The Manure thing isn't the greatest way to judge the lad as Fergie was used to players like Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Van Nistleroy, etc.

To play adult football as a profession in any country at the age of 14 shows he had talent.

            He just never fulfilled it.
