If Connolly is dropped for Big Dan

I genuinely believe our great defensive record will disappear.

Gorkss is prone to mistakes, albeit solid most of the time. Big Dan is probably stronger in the air, but worse with the ball at his feet.

For me, Connolly is the better out of the three. Good enough in the air, but very good on the deck and by far the more composed.

If Pete's little team selection is the way we go, I'd be massively disappointed.

Can't see it happening though as it's clear NW rates MC.

Agree mate. Think people will be dissapointed when/if Big Dan returns. Very similar player to Stewpeas and is dire on the floor which Connally and Gorkks aren't bad at.

Agree. Shittu must be a sub, as much as I love the man, KG and MC have a solid partnership. No need to change such a watertight defence.

MC has been solid this season, no chance of him being dropped

So are you saying you'd honestly prefer to see Connolly dropped?

I'm so pleased you're not in charge.

If I'm being honest, as harsh as it is to Gorkss, I'd go with Dan over him. With Connolly doing the football and organisation side of things, Dan's ability to dominate the air is greater that that of Gorkss' IMO.

Of course, this should only happen if Gorkss makes a few more mistakes as he deserves to keep his place.

I had him right back, just my preference over ORr

To be fair I think Orr has been pretty solid this year. Clint more of a worry when he comes up against pace like he did against leeds. We need someone who has a little more pace than Clint (not hard really ) so we can deal with players like gradel.

slightly unfair mate, though I note you are kind enough to ket Kaspers keep his place until he ****s up again. Kaspars can make mistakes but is generally solid. He's much more in the Shittu mould than Matt. I usually fancy him for any 50 50 in the air. But by replacing him with Dan I fear all you'd do is lose pace.

Yes I did, Pete. You replaced our most composed CB. Did you not read my post?

Orr is decent going forward. In fact, if he'd not been suspended, I think we wouldn't have gone for Walker. A blessing in disguise, but Orr was playing well.

Shi**u and Gorkss as CB's would likely end in disaster. Connolly and Shi**u would be good.

I cant see NW disrupting the defense

I'm sure Dan will get a run in the last 20 minutes of a game here and there

Yeah but what you chaps don't realise is that you need a team. It is a long long season and we are only half way through, we are picking up injuries all the time.

What happens when Gorkss or Connolly gets injuried? it will happen, and that is when you need someone solid to come in such as Shittu.

Do you think Derry and Hill will make 46 games? no chance because come late Feb/early March the fitness levels kick in and you need to rest players.

Believe me Shittu is a good signing as a stop gap player as we will get injuries.
