    he's a striker.

would prefer a young player (Freddy Adu) available on a free

When he was good he looked very good just hasn't looked good for a while. Another striker who needs a goal.

prefer to buy a young and upcoming player like Austin rather than take the cheaper route and loan someones benchwarmer....but thats just how we do it at rangers.
Dont look at Austin and the like we have missed out on over the years (Cox..Maclean...Beckford)

I don;t think we missed out onthese players , because we were never going to sign them in the 1st place

Potentially top notch at this level but has been overweight and off form for a long time now so would not be my first choice.

                        Stinks of desperation imho.

I'd rather nich someone like Le Fondre, Rhodes or Austin. All would be keen to prove themselves at this level, and although, with possibly the exception of Austin, I can't see them making a big mark in the Prem, I'm positive eother would score the goals to get us there.
