I like the Scandanavians, though that bint married to the vicar can say some odd things.

I seem to remember Routledge having a lot of assists but maybe my non-existent spectacles have turned rose colour.

This folking freezing weather is blowing in from Norway so thanks a bunch guys.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I just think the pace and creativity of both him and Bellamy would turn an already, in form striker like Bothroyd into a man likely to grab another 20 goals ontop of those already scored.

            Just an opinion, of course...
I respect your opinion above all on here so always interesting to read what you have to say. I just think that defensively replacing Burke with Routledge would make them a poorer side. Burke in my book is another Mackie whereas Routledge is another Taraabt. All very well scoring 4 but not if you concede 5. I think Burke is a team player whereas Routledge isn't. However, it's a nice headache for Jones to have. Routledge on his day is a good player but he lacks consistency and 8 goals in 70 Championship matches isn't a good return for a winger but as you rightly point out his assist rate is 1 in 3, which is fantastic especially considering some of the strikers he's had to work with at those clubs (Leon Best & Samuel De Carmine spring to mind).

I think the question though is the same as asking would you prefer Clint Hill or Ryan Bertrand? Well most would see that there is an obvious divide in talent but Hill brings a lot more to the team then someone like Bertrand in the same way that Mackie does over someone like Routledge. Would Routledge have played right back so effectively? Would he be prepared to play left wing if asked? Mackie is a team player whereas Routledge isn't.

why do you respect his opinion 'above everyone else' on here?
              who is he?
dont say anything that clever that sticks out to me, not hating on him, he seems cool and the leader of the little gang here, but 'i respect your opinion above all'
what the ####s that all about?

oh and where does the '1in 3' assists come from?
might of been that in his few games for us but if his career average is 1 assist in every 3 ill run on the pitch naked when we score saturday.

Both BBR and I have been a member of this and the old board for more than 3 years and he's posted 000s of posts so overtime you get to appreciate someone's contribution. He has been spot on about various footballing matters countless of times. I've never met him but I think his opinion on both QPR and the game as a whole are very similar to mine and I think he has a very good knowledge and understanding of those areas. I also think he has a realistic view of the club and is positive and understands our history better than a lot of people do.

no his work ethic cant be matched, routledge is quick but i never really rated him as highly as some people on this forum did, rarely cut inside, predictable and a relatively quick defender found him very easy to deal with

Not read this thread but I wouldn't swap mackie, he works hard and chases the ball, instead of jumping on the spot like a kid when he losses it.

very simply and well put. stright to the true point, and easy to see its the musings of a man who knows football and players well.

I have not even looked at the other replies so apologies if any duplication BUT have to say Routledge was onlyt a good playter for us when things were going well. Jamie Mackie has not scored in recent games but in EVERY single game that guys works his socks off for us and makes me very proud to be a QPR fan. Yes, Routledge has abilities, but in my opinion he has a bad attitide and would not be fit to lace the boots of Jamie Mackie. I would be ashamed if anyone thought otherwise.

                            But I love him! :shy:

In all serious I do respect his opinion highly but that's not to say that I don't respect yours, Morris', SIAL's, Goddard's etc because I do think you all make brilliant contributions to this board and enjoying reading all of you posts.

Routledge was good when he fancied it and we missed his pace when he left BUT Mackies a team player and works his socks off for 95 minutes!

Routledge, Hall, Vine and a few others were only here for the money. Couldn't give a sausage about winning or losing. NW's doing a great job of clearing the bad eggs out and we don't need them back!
