No club in their right mind goes in straight away with the figure that the selling club actually wants. Setting the bar low and leaving an offer on the table will make them think but you have to follow it up. We offered £1.25m for Watson when Palace wanted closer to £2m we didn't go in again and lost out. Hopefully we won't make the same mistake twice.
