Actually an Acronym has to spell another pronounceable word. For instance N.I.C.E. (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) is an Acronym albeit one that ignores a word. N.A.S.A. (North American Space Agency) is another example even though Nasa is not a word in itself, it is pronounceable and therefore accepted as an Acronym.

Q.P.R. is not an Acronym.
