    Turning the screw

I cannot see any of the teams outside the current top eight winning this league. The team in 9th are 11pts adrift and pretty much 12 when you consider our goal difference.

We need to start making the gap between us and the third team bigger. We currently have a seven point lead (pretty much eight if you consider the goal difference) but in a couple of weeks we have to play Norwich, the team that are in third. If we beat them and other results go our way we could potentially have a ten point lead over the third team. Furthermore, I believe we have a whole host of winable games before we meet Cardiff at the end of November.

I do believe, however, that we continue to strengthen our squad. Getting to the top has taken a lot of effort. The loan window closes this week and we should make sure we get 2-3 extra players in. Quite a few are carrying knocks. Add in the fact that we have a few sicknotes and I think it would be prudent to strengthen at this time.

One last special mention for Helguson. Is he going to do a Furlong a and go from being one of the most hated players to one of the most loved ? I hope so.

Hope the players are given a full week off at least. They deserve it.

Its a long season, remember the championship is the hardest league to win and get out of.

I think we will need a couple more players come January.

Do we need more options?....Are teams starting to nullify us? It's a question, not a statement.

i believe as long as we keep Walker and maybe another striker we should be fine. We still have some great players to come back from injury !

            Rowlands,
            Cook
            Hulse
            Hall
