    Who's surprised you the most?

Whats surprised you about our current start?

for me its hill n derry, more so derry.. i was very critical that he wasnt better than mahon.. but he has proved me wrong.. and warnock's ability to get the same players mags and co had and turn them into winners.

only thing i can say i still believe im right on is clarke.. but no idea whats happening with him.

      I'm definitely going with Derry.

I knew these players were needed, but he really has been superb.

Derry by a long shot. Followed by Clint Hill.

I'm not going to trawl back to when we signed these players but some of us stated as fact that Mackie would be very popular and that Derry would be the glue that we sadly lacked last year after Rowlands and Mahon got injured. So, for me, the one who is standing out is not a new signing - Helguson - think he has been an absolute revelation.

Great question. Ephraim has surprised me because we are seeing consistent performances from him which under every other manager this wasn't the case - not always his fault though and he would get picked and dropped far too quickly.

Helguson has surprised me with solid performances and has led the line far better than I thought he could/would. Starting the season without many of the names banded about (Roberts, Kitson etc) I thought we might struggle with just HH to lead the line but he has excelled. Always thought the team were capable of scoring but the team needed a focus to spearhead the attack and HH has done it very well. If he had pace I honestly don't think he'd be playing at this level.

Taraabt has surprised me. Although he performed much better under Warnock at the end of the season he didn't do it as consistently as he has now. If he can add goals to his repertoire then he'll deserve the comparisons to the likes of Wegerle et al.

Derry and Hill have surprised me because I hadn't seen enough of them to make a real judgement but they have given us the "steel",leadership and work ethic that we so desperately lacked.

In some ways Warnock has surprised me the most, i knew he'd keep us up but thought it would be to the detriment of football style but he seems to have mellowed and the blend of skill with steel is working perfectly.

Helguson for me. Honestly thought it just wasn't the club for him yet he is playing superbly, holding the ball up well, winning headers, troubling defenders & scoring GOALS!

My girlfriends new catchphrase seems to be "QPR won again?" - said in a very surprised tone. Top of the league, 5 clean sheets, goals a plenty - doesn't sound like us does it - very surprised - nicely surprised!
