It makes perfect sense to wait until the 25 man squads are announced in the premiership, after all we have only two more league games to wait for that to happen. We are going to be top or near the top and probably get a player much cheaper than we would, if we paid for him now.

This does not mean we will not have a striker in by this week, but the other one could be a couple of weeks and much better value, than if we wasted money now.

Walters, Simpson plus another? Neither are better than Chopra, and even Jason Roberts or Kitson won't be as prolific at this level than Chops. I don't believe for a minute that NW claimed he has better than Chopra coming.

Kitson did score 3 in 6 for Boro last season and has scored 23 in 50 in the Championship so he is quite prolific at this level - a goal every 158 minutes. Chopra is 4 years younger though and has scored a goal every 186 minutes at this level.

When do the 25 squads have to be published?
31st August? Or before, so that left-out players have a chance to leave?
Or will this need to be a loan?
