Seeing as the last we saw of him last year was him asking to be substituted after he wasn't allowed to take a penalty, I fear what sort of monster could be created if he was made the club's top earnerOriginally posted by Dando View Postall i say is let his football do the talking. We all have our opinions, so nobody is wrong or right - but I just say watch him over the season - and I think he will show his class.

I can't think of any other player that has caused so much debate between supporters as Adel Taarabt.
His comments in the local paper a few days ago about potentially joining QPR gave me some hope that maybe he had finally sorted his priorities, and wanted to focus on his football.
I do have my concerns about exactly what terms he (or his agent) is asking for. He knows Warnock is desperate to sign him, and clearly he is taking full advantage of that.
Interesting to see that Warnock said on the radio last night about doing that "little bit extra" to sign the one player that can make all the difference at the end of the season. I would assume they will/have done this for Adel.
I just hope his heart is in the right place - if terms do eventually get agreed.
One thing is for sure though, he won't ever be fully accepted by QPR supporters.. and there will always be that question mark hanging over his head about what his motives were for joining us.
As already mentioned, he is a big risk.

But a risk well worth taking at the fee being spoken about.Originally posted by SM1882 View PostI can't think of any other player that has caused so much debate between supporters as Adel Taarabt.

can't imagine wages are an issue as we were paying him last season no? I reckon it's length of contract....2 years is good for him...not quite so for us. I reckon it will be done, warnock's pretty much said since he took over that he doesn't normally build teams round a player but adel is an exception. I reckon will be done today

You only have to pay a percentage of the wage when on loan mate. Plus, I very much doubt he was on much at Spuds, so even if we had to cop the whole lot, it'd probably be a lot less than what he's asking for now.Originally posted by James1979 View Postcan't imagine wages are an issue as we were paying him last season no? The truth is, none of us know. There was a poster who laid claim that Vine, Aggy and Hall were all on around 18k, which I doubt massively. Other posters who like to shoot the club down at any given opportunity have decided to continue this and maintain it's 'fact' etc.Originally posted by hoopsa1987 View PostWell if we all think we know how much the likes of vine are on so will adel so in that case hes got them in his pocket reguarding wages
Personally, I doubt it's true. If Vine was on 18k, he'd not be looked at by League 1 clubs, that's for certain.Your mum would love me...

Exactly that mate. It's the same in any job. If someone is better at a job, they are always gonna get paid more than someone who isn't. Let's be completely fair, they ALL get paid way too much, so they should ALL thank themselves lucky.Originally posted by jfish View PostI wouldnt worry about team morale, surely Gary Neville doesnt complain how much Rooney is on..
