As i said yesterday, just becasue we'd agreed a fee with Spurs it meant absolutely nothing yet people were getting way too ahead of themselves and acting as if the signature was on the contract.

Personal terms were always going to be an issue as far as i'm concerned. Reason being, he knows we desperately want him, he knows we have "in theory" more money than we could ever need, and, he's incredibly arrogant and thinks he's real top quality.....

All those things considered, means him and his agent will be aking silly demands i reckon. Possible outcomes, he relents slightly but is still paid very high wages which could alienate others and unsettle the squad, or we hold firm due to existing structure and he then sings for a team that will treat him like royalty.

This is far from "A done deal"....
