I just cant see how any sane person can say that someone coming to play for QPR FC because no one else wants him, is "Great news if true". I could understand the comment if at the end of last season he said, I want to sign for QPR FC, so please make it happen, but he said the complete opposite. I agree.
There is a real buzz when he gets the ball -- he is unpredictable, and, yes, it doesn't always go right, but it didn't always for Marsh or Bowles either -- and we remember the good things they did, rather than the times they lost the ball. But, like Taarabt, when they got it right it was breath-taking.

Last time we had that sort of buzz about one player was when Cookie was at his peak, taking on 3/4/5 players and beating them. If, as we fear, Cook will not return 100%, we need Taarabt.

There was a rumour that he had already signed a long time ago however we now know there was nothing to it. The longer this goes on the more likely Adel will sign, because we all know he wants to play first team football and no one so far made a bid for him but QPR.

1) It could be that he in the end realized that QPR was the best choice careerwize.Simply as that.
2)Or Who knows, maybe Warnock told him that his agent tried to big him up beyond any form of realism. (This early and at this stage of his career.)
3) Mr. Warnock "charmed" him with his management and Methods of training last season.

It would be great news if it is true. He has been waiting for a Premiership club to go for him, but no one has. Fair play to him for waiting, he has no reason to be loyal to QPR and go for us if there is a Premiership team who want him. But seeing as there doesn't seem to be a 'top' team after him and given the fact he wants to play first team football- we are his only option. That's just the way football works, I wouldn't condemn him for making us sloppy seconds..I just hope we ARE sloppy seconds!
