i'm sure there are funds available as we were chasing Ambrose who would have cost something.

hold up could be one of many things. injuries, player not interested, negotiation of contract, other clubs interested...

the fact that Warnock said he is looking is good enough for me.

Mate, when you are resigned to saying that, I really really believe everything that I have been saying the last 4 months ( Hoping it wasnt true)

The FFS brigade are now using the transfer window in SEPTEMBER...yes FFS SEPTEMBER.. when originally they used:

FFS its May,
FFS Seasons only just finished,
FFS its the world cup,
FFS the players are on Holiday,
FFS the transfer Window is only just open,
FFS no one is spending,
FFS its difficult to bring players in
FFS Warnock has stated he wants 2 strikers,
FFS why would we just waste money, FFS be patient

Why wait to the end of pre season to bring new players in if we are serious about promotion we want a squad to gel over as much time as possible. We've brought 2 strikers in from relegated clubs, 2 over the hill transfers on frees from Palace and a goalie.

i think its more likely that we've been unable (due to whatever reasons) to bring in who Warnock wants.
