It appears that as a lot of teams are announcing their squad numbers today meaning that there is obviously a deadline to do so otherwise it is a rather odd coincidence for squad numbers to be announced. If this is the case then I wouldn't read anything into it.

Steven Ireland has been given the number 7 shirt at City but most are expecting him to be sold before the season starts. SWP has number 8 but once again the vast majority believe he'll be shown the door.

Problem is Reading don't really need to sell him but if he wants out, then I reckon we will eventually get him.

depends who you've got or can bring in to replace him though. Can we bring in someone better for that money? Do we want an out and out winger like mcanuff or someone like adel

Personally I'd rather have Siggurdsson or Kebe before McAnuff if I were to sign any Reading players. May not neccessarily be in positions we need but both IMO are better than McAnuff.

if he was in the bush signing today or tomorrow he wouldnt of been given a number. so its a bit concerning.
