Center Half

Is anybody else a little worried that we still dont have a quick center half signed yet? I mean Stewart aint exactly quick nor is Gorrks etc

reading the game is sometimes just as good as having speed, in connolly i think we have a good CH that can do that.

Just my opinion and in a perfect world, i would have offloaded Stewart and Hall.I suppose that Clint Hill is a centre half, but then he has been drafted in as a left back.Which leaves us with Gorkss Ramage and Connolly.Connolly has still got to prove his fitness but has great potential whereas Gorkss is a bit up and down.

The plus side for me, is the signing of Kenny.Having a good and loud keeper behind you(as a defender)and one that you can trust, puts more confidence in your play.

We still have the looks of a mid table side,however i thought Greece were a sh.it side before they won the Euro's and many of the teams at this World Cup looked very good as a team,albeit some of their play on the pitch was a bit laboured.

Have we signed Ambrose yet ??

Just getting rid of the centre halves that we dont want is going to be the problem as everything comes back to the monster contracts and wages dished out by GP.No wonder Vine and Hall & Co are not in a hurry to move on.

I thought that all last season !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a big worry.

I just hope that we keep some clean sheets i seem to remember that both Radek Cerny and Paddy Kenny won the golden glove the other year so at least the keeper position looks very strong (prob the best in the division)

Yeah but we can only use one at a time.

I think people are more worried about upfront rather than a centre back. We have 5 of them anyway.

I think Defensively with Orr joining, we have a very good defense, It was never pace that concerned me... more to the fact that at times we simply looked out of shape and unogranised...

That's a good post, I agree and that's why I livid to see all Sousa's hard work undone.
