Is there a difference between a supporter and a fan?

A fan of course can express opinions regardless if they attend matches or not and can love the club as much as someone who attends every week.

A supporter on the other hand could be described as someone who actually does support the club perhaps financially by purchasing tickets or merchandise or in some behind the scenes work.

Or is there no difference between the two? Not relly in my opinion.

I think we have great World/Europe support and most make the effort to come over for a game. Its not cheap, and hats of to them for making the ffort.
By the same token, you get one or two that try and create arguments, when they haven't attended ONE match for years.

You're not a supporter if you live abroad. You're a follower.

To be a supporter, I think you have to go to matches, even if it's only once or twice a season. Following via TV or the Internet isn't the same.

Of course, I also know where this is going so I guess you'll have to Report me.

Great to have them.

But, should they try to be instrumental in giving opinions on the club or accept that with the internet age they can keep up to date, with whats going on and be able to watch the r's on Sky and over the internet?
