no brainer,no Taarabt,no Simpson,where are the goals going to come from,and we wont be playing pub teams when the new season starts,so WEAKER

we are stronger in temperament BUT weaker in skill (no surprise under Warnock) - i guess the next question is which do you prefer?

of those 5 only routledge was ours, the others loans. remember people moaning about the number of loans and questioning their committment because of that and wanting permanent signings which we now have. Agree that on paper we appear weaker, but imo having players that are actually ours and are not here for any other reason than to play for qpr, can only be beneficial to the cause. Yes, the new signings may not be as technically skilled as the loans, but their committment may just make up for it, together with NW's motivation. Here's hoping!!!

Yeah but TW with respect you miss the point. People complained about loans in the hope that we might buy players of the same or even improved quality instead. But rather than doing that we have - however the club chooses to spin it - brought in players who are a lot weaker. If Simpson and Tabs were sold, they wd prob raise £3m for their respective clubs. How much wd Clarke and Mackie command in the transfer market?

Player for player, it is probably weaker. HOWEVER, the two things Rangers have been lacking for the last four-five years are: leadership and team spirit and Warnock has addressed this albeit with ageing players.

Steve Palmer and Gavin Mahon are two players who have divided opinion over the last few seasons. Some argued that they were limited players (they were) and should not be in the team solely on playing ability, but they both offered organisation, talk and a bit of fight - I get the feeling that Hill and Derry will do that for us and I think that they will divide opinion amongst the fan base all season.

That fight and the apparent stability Warnock is giving will make us harder to beat and may provide the platform for players such as Buszacky and Taarabt (if he comes - severely doubtful I think) to perform to a level they couldn't be bothered to last season.

I am expecting an upper mid table finish, flirting with the Play Offs as opposed to flirting with relegation. I am also expecting better form away from home.

Oh, and the interfereing, Italian orange Control Freak has (apparently) taken a back seat and is therefore no longer interfering with management and playing staff, which will improve things (if it is true).

So, maybe that means I think the squad is better?

As others have said, man for man we have less quality. Whether this will be compensated for by a better team team spirit, better fitness, greater desire etc only time will tell. If not, we could be in trouble.

DEFENCE: Stronger. Hill is better than Borrowdale, adds much needed leadership and commitment. People talk about Tosic, he played for 5 games FFS

MIDFIELD: Stronger. We have lost Routledge and Watson. But we have a more balanced midfield with Derry coming in. Playing 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 we don't need wingers like Routledge and we can play Buzsaky in his right position. Also Watson was used as a holding midfielder with no success as he is a box to box midfielder. Compared to last season, Buzsaky is fit, Faurlin a year older, Cook gets a preseason...so yeah I think it's stronger then last year

ATTACK: Stronger. Helguson is fitter then last year, Mackie is better than Simpson(many may not agree), Agyemang and Vine are as **** as last season, so we are a weee bit stronger ;) Saying that, I am confident that NW will bring in another striker or 2. And a right-back

GK and Defence i would agree. although tosic made a huge difference in the games he played.. especially the 6-pointer against palace.

how you can tell me our midfield and attack is stronger now than last year is something else.
