    Ray Jones

Still listed as a squad player.

There's having a mark of respect and making the young aware of the dangers behind the wheel, but this is starting to look a bit odd to me.

Surely something else could be done

I agree it's been long enough now, they should just have a donation page.

        Morris,

I think the original poster was trying to suggest that there would be a more appropriate way of prolonging the young man's name in peoples memories, rather than showing any form of disrespect. For example, we don't have Mike Keen on the squad list do we? And we did after all retire the no.31 from future use.

It is clearly a different set of circumstances to those of young Kiyan Prince, so donations etc. are probably not appropriate.

perhaps a 'in memory' page which give the details of all who have died whilst being part of the squad. Being listed as a current player just doesn't seem appropriate

if he survied and his pals still died would he be in jail for causing death by dangerous driving?

so you think all that has been done to date is inappropriate? Just take his name off the squad list and be done with it?

                does it really matter?
the number 31 was retired in his memory. so why not list him as the number 31?

Because we need the squad number and it doesn't really add anything to the cause, it would be better to have a memory page etc.

Yes. Coroner confirmed at the inquest he wouldve been looking at a LENGTHY stint at Her Majestys Pleasure had he survived..

Incredibly sad for his family and the families of those he killed, but this fact should never be forgotten.

Its always going to be a tricky one this question. Some will maintain it should never be forgotten and his name always on the squad list and others who feel we have done enough. Myself I'm not sure (says he sitting on the fence) perhaps it is time to remove the name 'Ray Jones' from the squad listings. Whatever is decided it will always upset fans no matter what.

I would like to see more done by the club promoting things in their names like Kiyan. As others have said a memorials page in the programme might be a good way of showing our respect.

Whatever the final decisions whenever they take place, RIP both Kiyan and Ray

I would also love to know the answer to this question.

Lots of teams withdraw a shirt number for a tradegy and keep them removed.
