Leigh on Sea which is probably one of the best parts of Essex.

I'm am also telling you West London is better than Essex

Leigh on Sea has lovely parts and S hit holes, believe me i was a postie in Eastwood which is in Leigh and let me tell you it is no Beverley Hills.

Leigh on Sea to me doesn't go no further than The London Road. Talking about Eastwood being in Leigh is like referring to East Acton as Shepherds Bush.

Nice try mate but with the exception of Leigh, Chalkwell and Thorpe Bay the rest is s.hite in that part of Essex. That includes Benfleet the most over rated place of the face of this earth.

Can't ever see me returning to Essex again.

Where i live in sunny Benfleet we are surrounded by decent working class folk who respect their neighbours and keep their music down after 9pm. I moved here from Northolt to give my kids a better life.

Or a 3rd reason being I just don't like it and hate the way people who come from there or live there make out its something special when its clearly not. There is **** all there, no decent boozers, nothing to do. Its just a residential area with no character, the amount of people I met in Essex boasting about their new house they had just bought there, I just use to respond why?

Oh and I have lived there so my opinion is valid, the place is awful, at least Leigh was easy on the eye, had character and some history.

I agree there is no decent boozer but the Zak sells Cold Carling at £2.35 a pint and thats not too bad, christ the Defectors charge about 3 and a half dont they?

ladbroke grove/notting hill is many times better than any town in essex for entertainment-character-boozes etc but some prefur the quiet life......each to their own!! being a parent has a lot to do with decisions like moving to the country!!!!

I big up Essex in a tongue in cheek way but to say it has no decent pubs and only a few decent areas in wrong.Yes it has its built up concrete toy town jungles like most of the home counties but has some real gems as well.
