Think I posted sometime back RE Agyemang. He was one of the top earners. This all come from the location where we got him from and the clause/extras we had to throw in to get him in. We were struggling for players and he fitted the bill in what we needed at the time. He was just about to sign for Charlton I think and we needed to do something extra to pull him in our direction. It turned out we had to pay £200k to get him out of his Preston contract. That wasn't paid upfront but spread out over a term. Turns out he was costing the club almost £19,000k a week inclusive. Wages made up around half of that figure and the rest was living allowance (his rent on a property), relocation costs (he was give a relocation allowanve), living expenses etc. Routledge and Hall's wages were far more a month also with expenses thrown in but Agyemang total figure made him the most expenseive player as a full package. Letting Hall, Agyemang and Routledge go saved Flavio almost £54k a week.

Just a question for you guys, if your ready to spend circa £2 million on Jobi McAnuff do you not think it would be better spent on Darren Ambrose whou would far outweigh the number of goals and assists that Jobi would get?
I don't understand why Warnock is prepared to pay that amount for McAnuff yet no more than £750,000 for Ambrose, he was clearly trying to rip Palace off!

Because your there to be ripped off plain and simple, you don't pay Warnock's wages any more.Originally posted by PalaceDave View PostJust a question for you guys, if your ready to spend circa £2 million on Jobi McAnuff do you not think it would be better spent on Darren Ambrose whou would far outweigh the number of goals and assists that Jobi would get?

There's not exactly a queue of people at your door trying to sign him and no one is prepared to pay more than we offered. The offer was a fair one and whatever happens, next season will show one way or another whether he was a one season wonder or not. We all know what your neighbours think of him, but we also know Warnock got the best out of him - so its a heads & tails gamble now either way.Originally posted by PalaceDave View PostHence the reason the new owners pulled the plug on the deal because they knew the club was going to be ripped off by Warnock.#standuptocancer

Seriously who cares mate, not trying to be rude but we've technically far superior players at the club already in Faurlin and Buzsaky and if we do complete the signing of Taarabt we will have the best player in the league IMO.Originally posted by PalaceDave View PostHence the reason the new owners pulled the plug on the deal because they knew the club was going to be ripped off by Warnock.
Your fans have been given far too much time on this Board already, time to focus on your own season now.
Maybe we can interest you in some strikers, we've Vine, Ageymang and Helguson all available at rock bottom prices, tell us what give us Ambrose and you can Hall as well.

Trying to rip you off. Get real fella. He's had one good season in a long time. Don't get me wrong I quite like the fella but I doubt he'll score 15 this season let alone 20 goals. He has 1 year remaining on his contract so £750k is a bloody good deal. Some supporters do live in cloud coo koo land!Originally posted by PalaceDave View PostHence the reason the new owners pulled the plug on the deal because they knew the club was going to be ripped off by Warnock.

i would rather we didnt spend 2 million on mcanuff if im totally honest.
seriously would prefer ambrose, mcanuffs a good player but i would prefer a goalscoring hardworker, and if we get taraabt, cant see why we really need him with mackie in the side as well.
keep that 2 million, spend one of it on ambrose and put the other mill into the striker pot would be the ideal scenario for me.

Madness to pay £1m or over for him, especially for a club in Palace's financial state, theres hardly a huge queue of clubs lining up to sign him. There's a reason for that.

As I said yesterday Forest offered around £500k in January for Ambrose. He has 7 months less on his current deal now. £750k is a fair sum, if anything Palace are trying to rip us off as paying in excess of 1 million for a one season wonder, with less than one year left on his current deal would be a Man City esque signing. I agree with the above posts Buzz, Faurlin proved their technical superiority over gay boy ambrose at selhurst park in may.15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

Or the Palace board were hoping to start a bidding war and then realised oh wait a minute, no-one else is interested.Originally posted by PalaceDave View PostHence the reason the new owners pulled the plug on the deal because they knew the club was going to be ripped off by Warnock.15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.
