Too premature to be making these kind of comparisons. Bowles was one of the fittest players and hardest trainers in the squad. Much higher goal ratio too. He also knew WHEN to pass and WHEN to keep the ball and was very much a team player. His team mates loved him and he very rarely frustrated them, or for that matter, the fans.

Stan Bowles was the lazy never turned up for games at home until just before kickoff also he is training was poor. Most of the team at the time where frustrarted by him they tell that them selfs. The only reasons he got away with so much was because he was great footballer. He says this himself and don't believe me ask him. I loved Stan Bowles as player as kid and now. Him and Francies was are are in my top 2 great QPR players. In Taabette I do see a lot of Bowles. Anyone how says like you did on him being hard at training loved by the hole team where to young to see him play or not been QPR fan for long.

You may well be right, but I have heard differently. I think its fair to say he was a very naturally fit player and on the whole was very popular with his team mates and idolised by ALL the fans. And the points still remain regarding his higher goal ratio and knowing when to pass and when to keep it, so the comparison is still premature.

Just heard we are in talks for Adel Tarrabt in a deal that might cost us £4m.

If true the that sounds about right, pay it because he is worth it and we will probably double what we pay for him if not treble in future.

Agree Matthew and your probably right but if we would spend 4 million on taarabt and not sign a 20+ striker then we have made a massive mistake.

Buz I am not saying he is a shi te player.

What I am saying i that he isn't worth 4 million.
Like Warnock said he is a very difficult player to accomodate and if Warnock thinks he can do what no other manager has acheived then I am happy to trust him.

If we blow most of our budget on Taarabt then it is a big mistake because like newcastle and west brom who had goal scorers and so far we still have none. Blow most of the budget on a quality goal scorer.
