14k is alot of money but if you want quality you have to pay for it. If we had a squad with an average wage of 6/7k we would be no where near a promotion team.

I don't think so. Many players each season drop down to the Championship from the PL on lower money for first team football.

I think they will do alright to be honest, Wolves have survived quite comfortably and Newcastles squad is better than theirs IMO.
