In fairness, I don't recall anyone saying Taarabt was 'done', just that we'd made him a good offer and it's up to him. Montgomery wasn't said as done either...just a free agent we're looking at. Hooper...again someone we've targeted buy other clubs are interested.

Admittedly, last week I was informed some transfers that don't seem as certain now...Speroni, Ambrose and Iwelumo, but a few seem to think otherwise on the two from Palace. Clarke was only mentioned to me today.

I missed those posts. Let's be honest...the carp happens accross every MB at every club around this time of year. Silly season and all that. I'm pretty sure even Warnock doesn't know who's 100% in the bath with Ched. He may know who he wants, but that's not to say another club won't come in and scupper the deal. Take Speroni for instance. Despite the relationship between manager and player, are you going to want Prem footy over CCC? Better wages, better players and bigger stadiums??? Ok, some may choose the relationship, but at 31, Speroni must fancy a crack with the big boys.
