don't forget olly had a mystery illness before that leeds 6-1 game....in his book he says he was fighting a skin cancer, got to ground for ken bates to say, "we heard you were not manager"....where did that come from???

of course, we were unhappy he wanted leics, but he knew some at qpr wanted him out....he had players foisted on him, some were dire but he had to make do.

As much as I'm not a fan of Paladini, a lot has happened in Holloways career since leaving Rangers and the years have passed. Sousa on the other hand it is a clear as day he was capable of getting us to the Play Offs the following season.

Would Holloway have got us to the Play Offs? Doubtful IMO, but there is no denying Paladini's shameful treatment of him all the same.

Holloways experiences as a manager since leaving us have made him a better manager.

The only "decision" wrong on your list was the one to sell Sinclair, considering what we received in return. Every other decision was bang on.

Well done Olly. I really do like him. When he joined us WE WERE F~~KED. He Got us into Play Off Final, And Then Promotion. At That Time It was would have been easier to Raise The Titanic. (There was so much stuff going on behind the scenes as well at this time) But IMO some of the long ball/over the top stuff done my swede in. His relationship took us as far as it could, it had run its course. I said a while ago they would go up, Interesting to see them play Leicester in Final. Good Luck OLLY

Les was 29 at the time. Less potential and limited on value for any buying club and very importantly had expressed his desire to leave LR. Shearer was a fixture in the international side, one of the top 5 strikers in Europe and had been PL top scorer in two of his four seasons at Blackburn. The other being decimated by injury. Shearer also guaranteed another 100k shirt sales alone and was signed a year after Les where transfer fees had again inflated.

£6million was a very full price for Ferdinand IMO, a great deal - shame it was wasted by Wilkins.

Losing Sir Les' goals was a huge way towards our relegation, so I fail to see how it was a good decision?

I respect your opinion Nodge as you talk sense and aren't without knowledge of the game, but I'll never agree on that mate.

les wanted to move on....and if wilkins had not spent the money we got so badly we might have stayed up!!! keeping les was a no-no from his own perspective and 6 million was decent money back then!!!
