Think you've misinterpreted it. It's not about eeeeeeeegos, BennyBoy simply posted what he has heard and Egham has commented in the sense he hopes we sign that list of players. That's the trouble with this site too many people (I'll be nice) sit in the shadows waiting to pounce when someone gets something wrong.

the point is there are too many people on this site who's egos, perhaps even their self-esteem, are propped up by how itk they are. pete is the worst for this from what i can see. benny, my post wasn't aimed directly at you but at egham who i'm sure i recall said he wouldn't be posting rumours on here anymore. "hope they come off for you" sounds very much to me like it's all about how many correct rumours you can chalk off rather than who signs for the club for the good of the club, which i find sad in an amusing way. cringeworthy, know what i mean?

All I'll say is that I don't believe Pete, Egham nor any other fan does this for their ego's. Pete may get a little excited and post a little too quick on hearing of rumours, but that's not all bad. I prefer to be told of things when info is passed on. It gives us all something to talk about.

It's posts like this one that prevent others for passing on info. Take Walkonby for example. Loyal fan, good bloke and someone who clearly has inside information of sorts. He no longer posts. Not because the abuse and taunts bother him...he can look after himself. He's chosen not to because it's not worth the hassle. That's a shame as he passes on good info.

Anyway, let's hope we sign some tallent. We desperately need to.

I agree,and thankfully walkonby has started posting again and hopefully the few idiots who like to knock him and egham and Pete everytime they post a rumour will just get bored and **** off.

rumours are good. they're fun, and only idiots believe everything they read. what is slightly wierd is when people post rumours so that they can get some kind of ego bounce of it. not everyone is like that - walkonby and benny don't come across like that - but some are and i was pointing out how childish it is. not crying about it mate. i don't read this board a lot, so it's a casual observation is all.
