Faurlin plays best with a defensive midfielder sat behind him. Best CM partenership I've seen all season was Faurlin and Mahon. Warnock wants Faurlin playing in a more advanced position so a siginig like Brown, Butt maybe Carsley (though he is getting on now) is imperitive.

Yes it could be, although I would like to see a right back added to that list. So far that defence has done well.

No it is not. gorkks + ramage were OK , but done for pace by hume + anderson da silva, could have had 4 in first 10 mins (including a one on one with cerny which cerny save brilliantly). Cerny won us that game

nicky butt's been a complete waste of space at newcastle for while now by all accounts. considering the wages he'd command we'd be better off with keeping mahon and getting montgomery in.

steve finnan would be a great free signing -- should still be good enough for this division and invaluable experience to have in the squad.
