Thought he was the only Palace player who looked a real threat at Selhurst.

Good energy, pace, and technique.

Speroni would be great, and a decent solid defender or two as well.

Danns would be alright, Speroni I think he is overated and he isn't that tall, read the Palace MB's you'd think he was world class.

Am I the only person who is not too keen on signing all these Palace players? Before admin they were a midtable team, there are better players out there.

I take your point, but I honestly haven't seen a better 'keeper in this league than Speroni.
Warnock certainly thinks the same.

And Palace players are commited to Warnock, he knows their faults, and they know what he demands from Day One.
Plus... they are cheaper than most, because of their current situation.

I think it's about more than just their abilty.

from what ive seen, Danns is a great player - but havent seen him enough to know. Still feel we need to improve a lot though, mainly up front and at centre back. Id say we need 3 strikers at least - even if that does sound greedy!

Not greedy really.

The only striker we currently own is a raw kid, with a 1st touch that needs working on.
Good prospect, but far from the finished article.
A few months out on loan would help him, and us.


Before anyone says Rowan Vine, I don't really class him as a centre forward/striker... same goes for Balanta.

I think Balanta is a great player, but just doesnt have enoguh presence for some reason. Vine used to be quality, but his confidence has been wiped away. 3 strikers including Simpson should be ok, maybe even 4!! I say we need a couple of "older" players with some experience, combined with Simpson, and Hooper

Danns and hooper are very close, fee been agreed for both now up to the players to agree terms.
