Threads *Merged*...

There are/were about 8 seperate threads in relation to GP/Faurlin transfer etc.. on this page today.
It just floods the main QPR forum with the same topic, when many aren't interested in that topic 24/7.
That's the only reason it's been done.

They may say "moved" next to them, but they have not been hidden, or moved to another page - they have been merged into as few seperate threads as possible. That's all.


I agree it creates confusion and suspicion when "moved" is seen next to a new thread, but that doesn't mean it's been binned or hidden.
It should say "merged".

Nothing to "hide", just trying to tidy up the forum, and avoid a One-Topic board, that most don't want.

I think the majority of readers don't like to see a dozen seperate threads on the same subject.
I'm not saying it's not an important subject... that's peoples choice to post what they feel... Fine.
But no threads have been "hidden".

It's just that the silent majority of people want to read about the football, and only have a passing interest in the more political stuff.
But the false impression can be given that everyone is fascinated by it all, and tearing each other apart over it on here.

Which just goes to show, you can't really win.

If there is a Boardroom Forum, it's accused of being a place to bury stuff, or hide it.
When their isn't a Board Room Forum, this board gets flooded, and people complain that it's all too political.

Personally, I'd bring back the Boardroom Forum, but (believe it or not) the owners of this site do not want to be accused of censorship and appearing to hide stuff in a forum that not everyone wants to read.
So it's on here instead.

I've given up posting in this section in all honesty. I just glance and see if anything interesting is going on, but no...It's GP this, and GP that. A lot from Pete as well, so not just the likes of Paladiniooooo etc.

It's tiresome and repetitive...and a little homosexual at some peoples infactuation with one man, be it in a possitive or negative way...it's still somewhat gay.

The one thread in question merged should not have been merged that is a fact, I produced a thread analysing the facts on Faurlins transfer for the very reason I did not want to lose its content in another thread. I do not post or start threads on this site for the fun of it. I also requested to Pete that he didn't merge it but he went ahead anyway because he felt threatened by its content, that is the bottom line.
