I would try and tempt Jason Roberts with a big fat bonus for getting us into the playoffs/automatic promotion spots!

What's your point refarding Furs? Don't see it.
At the end of the day he's a prolific scorer you can only score against what's in front of you. 10 in the championship?! Yea right I guarantee he would double what Simpson would get. Scores from all over the box and plenty with his nut, does Simpson score headers? No didn't think so either. But hey its all about opinions eh.Last edited by Guest; 05-04-2010, 12:01 PM.Comment

Lambert all day he is really good i think he scored 30+ already so we can't complain and Ebanks-Blake will be a good buy aswell IF wolves stay up in the premComment

Sorry but is the same James Beattie who scored 22 for Sheffield United in the 07/08 season and 12 in 23 in 08/09 before being bought by Stoke where he finished the season scoring 7 in 16? In other words: 41 goals in 78 appearances. Is that dross???Rob Hulse, John Stead, James Beattie ??? Why are we aiming for such 'dross' and 'have beens' We need much better quality that that! Beattie only ever looked good in a less than average Saints side and that was over 6 years ago and the other two never cut it at Championship level. Lambert is a must and what about Lita?Comment

that is true....I love the sexy game, but F me I would take a donkey over the current strikers.@chrisrobson9Comment

Unfortunately when you come up against the likes of Chris Morgan and Claude Davis in this league you need donkey's.
I'd rather we went for Hulse or Henderson but as SIAL has said Howard is better than what we have, which is Agyemang or Pellicori.Comment

Used to watch Beattie train when my lad was at Saints. He's the laziest player in the world, worse than Priskin. Harry Rednapp used to send him off from the training pitch cos of his attitude. Big time charlie ( that never made it big!) Lucky in front of goal thats all22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!Comment

Well if he gets that lucky that many times I'm sure we wouldn't mind.Used to watch Beattie train when my lad was at Saints. He's the laziest player in the world, worse than Priskin. I'm not saying he is the best player in the world but he's one of the best we could get. I'd prefer Ebanks-Blake (don't think he is Premiership standard yet) but I think we need to look at regular goal scorers in this division over the past few seasons and sign them. The likes of Maynard, Paterson (when Burnley come down), Hulse and Henderson all scored more than a dozen goals on at least a couple of occassions over the past 3 seasons. They all know where the net is and would all be an improvement on what we have.Comment

Agree SirPie but the likes of Beattie are not the answer. Ricky Lambert should be first on NW's list22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!Comment
