Should QPR Have A Voted In Fans Spokesman?

Before I start, NO I am not advocating myself to it !!!!!!!

We have several groups and when the press call should it be one person or several who speak on the clubs behalf?

Also, at these meetings with the club would it not be better for 2-3 selected people to attend then feed=-back to the various messageboards?

Yes I think we should have a dedicated fan spokesperson though for the life of me I cannot see how it could be created and whoever was chosen would not be the best person in some fans eyes.

Scott Jones is pretty popular on most boards and also HA9 so any potential vote could be very close!!

The problem is I don't think its the current person's fault. He would no doubt get calls from being spokesman before when Bill and MArk were in charge, we have now moved on.

Next season if Gianni stays we will be in a postion whereby the official spokeman will not even be going to games, so surely that cannot happen?

Maybe the club should designate someone and release his/her number to the media? Always thought Dave Thomas speaks really well. Not sure he would want to do it though?

Not a sly dig at all. Its a serious matter especially for next season. I want a positive person doing this stuff and not someone questioning the new boards every move.

We have seen on all boards quotes that our current spokeman will not be going next season, so can he possibly comment on behalf of fans?

Dave lives too far away from LR as does Clive W. Anyway, if the past is anything to go by its a poisoned
Chalice. Too much in-fighting and underlying feuds. I know of at least two people who have driven away by pathetic a
vendettas.

A fans liaison with the board is separate thing from the fans spokesman. I have always thought
Finney does a fine job and never comes across as controversial.

Separate from that I'm not neccesarily convinced messageboards (including this one) should be invited to boardroom meetings.

for example say 1 member from

Lsa, Friends of QPR, QPR 1st and Qpr official supporters clubs relying back to the message boards what they want discussed and bring back what was said to publicise it.

Sometimes having too many can make it a bit confusing to the decision makers

I'd try to get Robert Elms to chair these meetings and act as Spokesman...most suited person would be a neutral saves all the petty squabbling.
