Agree with Scarlett, don't think they are.

Connolly is probably the only defender I'd keep in the 11 and Gorkss would be avery good squad player.

Yes, he is effective in most matches, but don't think anyone can deny has been responsible for a few goals this season.

Stewart is a solid defender, but cannot distribute the football properly. He often has a heavy touch wehn passing out. Actually think Hall is a better defender than Stewart

I find Hall clumsy and liable to give away too many free kicks in dangerous positions and penaltys.All over the opposition like a rash and asks to be punished.

He is a no nonsense centre half, put someone like St Ledger alongside him he'd be a different player.

Trouble is the game has changed alot and CB's are expected to be able to get involved in distributing the ball,not hoofing it up the pitch like in the old days.

Not saying he is a bad defender,but he is very route 1 in his approach to defending.

Think there is a place for defenders like Stewart in the CCC. Hoofing the ball wasn't a problem under Sousa. As long as you have one ball playing centre half that is all you need.

Midfield is definately our strongest point.

A keeper and fullbacks plus a striker is my priority.I think we can cope with our CB's if need be.I would rather these areas were adressed first.

Gorkks is quality - agreed he is having a rough time at the moment but all good players suffer from time to time. Or is it we just need a new scapegoat this morning as both Ramage and Priskin scored and Taraabt was outstanding again ? Pete as for Hall better than Stewart you must have had to much to drink at the weekend.

Stewart is unbelievably poor and nowhere near good enough to be part of a team pushing for glory. He's not even close to being smart enough. Sure, he's big and strong and does possess pace but he's a donut.

I'm a fan or Gorkss' and although he's not had the greatest time of late, he's still a FAR better CB than Stewart. Yes, I feel we need to sign a proper CB and one who'll compliment Connolly (who I feel is our best option) and a couple of full backs but for me, Damo is the weak link and needs to go.

i disagree with all of you once warnock has properly fired up his midfield the defenders will be better protected,i think stewert and gorrks are premeirship class


and i think hall is useless,he has no positional sence at all ,although he looks an elegant player hes no center half,perhaps hes a midfield or full back,.but hes useless at center half
