        Exactly.
And the implication at the top of this thread that we should somehow be GRATEFUL for their protection?

Anyone caught up in that would have been just as frightened by them as by the Swansea fans -- thugs are thugs, no matter who they claim to support.

I don't want or need the protection of people who think that it's big and hard to hurt people -- they're just school bullies who haven't grown up.
Just a big willy contest -- pathetic.

The whole thing makes me really angry.

I'm with you mate there would have been women, children & OAP's all caught up in this trouble, I've never understood the mentality of some football fans.

Not funny, not a joke, just a bunch of pathetic men who seem to be unable to grow up and act with respect for anyone, including the fans they pretend they're protecting -- transparent justification for unacceptable behaviour.

And Magic -- same reply to you.

What happened to Rule 8 Mods?

I'm sick of reading about QPRs or other teams so-called 'hard' men. Sort it out and stop allowing these threads, please.

Beer, football crowds and tribal mentality - never a good combo.

Whether you like it or not, there has been violence at football since the 60's and before. However, there are some basic rules and attacking innocents is frowned upon. Swansea on Saturday came up to cause as much trouble as they could and that included attacking anyone, whether they were 'up for it' or not and believe it or not if the Rangers boys had not stood up to them a lot more 'innocents' would have been hurt as it made some of the Taffs think twice. Unfortunately that is the reality, not very PC but reality.

                              8. We do not allow posts however worded relating to Football Violence.

getting fed up with doing this now
