  • this season.......who's to blame???

lets face it its been a huge anti climax but who does the buck end with????

1/ us the fans..........perhaps many's expectations were totally unrealistic given a no more than average squad!

2/ farsical running of the club by an amateurish board!

3/ inept spells of management by messrs dowie n sousa!

    4/ overpaid overated players!

      whos to blame for what?

we didnt go down, we didnt look like going down, we nearly got play off places if it wasnt for a few sloppy mistakes and matches.

      wasnt a bad season overall.

learn from the mistakes and make less and next season will be a lot better.

          No brainer.

The muppets on the board for farcical decisions and severe lack of financial backing in the striker department.

I think you are over reacting, I think you had your expectations too high this season.

I think its the fans , the expectations have gone through the roof, i know the price increase doesn't help but some fans really do expect champions league football in two years!

First game of the season you could taste the expectation. Then we defend like muppets and Barnsley score within 5 mins I think and the fans are all over the players.I tell you what mostly ruined this season - expectation.

The board are partly to blame, hyping stuff up (Parejo for example, and hiking up ticket prices, thus increasing expectations). The fans are to blame for thinking that suddenly we would cruise every game and how dare anyone score against us, and if they did we'd get on players' backs immediately.

The players, in my opnion, have had a tough season. Different managers, no consistency, fans on their backs over the slightest mistakes, etc.

If we are going to succeed, the board need to put their money where their mouth is in certain areas, the fans need to understand that a team needs building, and that people in all jobs make mistakes, and the players need have a stable management team.

the board are to blame for all those points

                              They set the fans expectations
                              they set the prices
they employed the management that helped them make and set these decisions
                              they employed the football management
                              they sacked the football management
they singned or approved the players and agreed the contract terms

the numbers of people flooding out of the ground at the final whistle and the small numbers who stayed are the result of those combined decisions.

Thie promise of a "vastly improved matchday experience" for a 50% increase combined with the poor poor decisions made, the hype and spin the bluster has resulted in a mostly embittered despondent core fanbase. ther sad thing is I see no real prospect of any improvement anytime soon. they just dont seem to learn.
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
