Love him or hate him, Sousa was building a side that was difficult to score against. Similar principles employed by the likes of Hodgson at Fulham and McLeish at Birmingham – teams that have both been acclaimed for their achievements this season but who actually don't over burden their supporters with Magilton-like attacking football Some of the football played by the R's under Sousa was rather less enjoyable than watching the qualifying rounds of the world ploughing championships but at least there was some method behind it IMHO. I'll give him a polite round of applause – he was an R's manager who never let us down, even if he did bore us on occasions.'Build from the back' is an over-used cliché but it's a damn sight better than 'screw up everywhere'.

If anyone boos him they are pathetic.... he did nothing wrong and shouldn't have been sacked so soon. All managers need time to develop the team and play as they want. He has proved since what a good manager he is and we discarded.Comment

think he was best manager we have had since Flavio's involvement. Was building a side but never got the time to get anywhere near finishing what he started. Thought Magilton's tinkering was far worse than Sousa's and got a feeling the club will one day regret not having the patience with him. Far as next week goes tho he'll get polite applause from me then i hope we go on to spank em 4-0, he's not a ranger anymore.Comment

I'm planning on burning the Portugese and Welsh flags as the Swansea coach arrives.
The most boring manager we have had at the club for years and the best thing the board ever did at the club was getting rid ot the blabber mouth.
At the end of the day he leaked sensitve club information which was very unprofesional.
The supporter who posted that information on this site deserves to win supporter of the year.
I'm dreading Paulo retrurning to QPR it still brings back those horrible memories of 4-5-1 .
The guy is soooooo over rated by some of our so called fans, Waddock, Holloway, Greogory and Hart were all better managers than this fool.

merry I support your views regarding Gianni but Sousa was/is a poor manager.
Also I said 6 months ago swansea won't get promotion and I will stick with that comment. They score far to few goals and his negative football will be his downfall.
Pleased he has gone and we have a decent english manager that understands this league inside out and can deal with any big time charlies. I loved it when he said he has a side with more ability than any other side he has managed but he really needs some sheffield steel. Couldn't of been a truer statement. Top man and manger in NWI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
