Thing is you start intoducing an unfit player who isn't familiar with the players around him it could be a recipe for disaster. Stick with Gorkks and Stewart they were good enough last season, they can do a job.

Warnock will fire the defence up no new additions required IMO.

Re Dan. Hasn't played for some time so probably not match fit yet. Agree he's a limited player and not good enough for the Premiership but think he's ok at this level. IMO.

I don't rate him massively but he's probably better than Stewart or Gorkks are at the moment!

I'm sure the font of all knowledge (Egham) said a week or two ago, we were on the verge of getting Big Dan back for around £300k in Jan. FB blocked it.
Now that may not have been a permy, and only an up front loan fee, but...

For that, and assuming he's 100% fit, I'd take him until May. He always chipped in with a few goals, which could be important between now and then.

I'm just as keen to see a few of our current loans return from whence they came.

I'm quite sure he'd stabilize our defence this season so I'd loan big Dan. If he then looks good enough and matchfit why not, he'd still have to compete for a place? It's always hard to aim for J. Terry when you're bottom five in the Championship. :-/
