Lincoln are no mugs they have the physical element to get out of L1 and got a half decent squad to stay up
Need to move the ball quick and stop being wasteful up front, Might be worth putting JCS in the back and Jimmy back to RB for this one
Charles
Jimmy JCS Edwards Kemper
Kamara Varane
Poku Vale Smyth
Kone

I tried to watch a few of their games last season when Lloyd was on loan there, I absolutely hated their style of football which comprised of just getting the ball forward early to enable them to win corners and long throws.
I expected Burnley to be a very difficult game because they still have some very good individual players, I’m not so sure the same could be said about Lincoln City. They have had 1 win, 1 draw and 4 losses during their last 6 games.
Losing to a poor looking Watford during the week could signal a drop in their initial impetus of being in a higher league, 2-0 home win, Ronnie to open the scoring.👍 1Comment

Just don't see us winning this, I feel it'll be like the Bolton game where we don't have the guile or nous to unpick a stout rearguard and properly work the keeper. We don't seem to have figured out how to play against teams that are happy for us to have the ball and focus on giving us no space to use in the final third.
Given we're well into the season now and our style/approach is evident to all, I suspect Lincoln (and many teams in this division) will conserve their energy and not commit much effort to pressing Charles and will happily sit off us waiting to pounce from either a bit of sloppy play or a dead ball situation.
Additionally, I'd expect Imps to know how many players we have that are injury prone, or are fresh from recovering from a knock, and they'll put a few robust sturdy challenges in - I wouldn't be surprised to see two or three of our players limp off at some point. I expect them to do whatever they can to ruin our rhythm, frustrate us and sucker-punch us..... is up to us to counter that and leave their plan in tatters.
Ultimately, if we end this 3-game week with no wins I'd feel fairly confident in predicting another 15th place is beckoning in May - it's over to the players to put down a marker and start making a concerted and credible bid to be IN the top 8, not bumping along "just off" the top 8 (ie midtable gravitating gradually to 15th)Comment

I think the squad options are limited atm with the injuries. It would be nice to get this one over the line, then reignite our season when players come back from injury after the international break.Lincoln are no mugs they have the physical element to get out of L1 and got a half decent squad to stay up

As ever, none of us can be sure. Could be 4-0, could just as easily be 0-1. Few teams can escape this type of scenario. Who could have predicted Wrexham beating the Boro the other night?
I guess it’s what makes The Championship the league it is.👍 1Comment

That cup match recently at Leicester was ridiculously foggy. We struggled due to constantly putting balls out of play due to being unable to see touchline or byline whereas Leicester instinctively knew the dimensions without having to see them. Might play into our hands today if they get disoriented.
Oh, just thought of Jill Ingham...👍 1Comment
