My thoughts on the pen, was that Mbengue stopped the West Ham player getting a clear header after the cross went over, I think Dunne's head. Any header would certainly have been a goal.
Smyth was injured and could barely walk off the pitch. But the manager cost us 3 points tonight. Taking kemper off was a huge turning point. He had kept bowen quiet all night. Lamptey isn't a lb and was awful and then he got injured trying to keep a ball in play that was posing no danger and in a part of the pitch where no west ham player was close to him. You wonder where his brain is at times like this!! No he's done til the new year. Good job Adamson is fit cos he's playing right back from now on.
Mbengue must be the thickest player we have had playing for us since terrell forbes. Guy is an absolute liability!!
I dont think Mbengue made a mistake, he decided to make the foul and stop a certain goal. They never scored and missed the pen, so good decision making by Mbengue that paid off for us.Comment

Both Kolli and Kone were weak against a very strong physical West Ham defence.
Burrel hasnt got into his stride this season and Im starting to get worried about our attacking abilities. Goals arent exactly flowing from midfield either.

Cant agree with you there sheep. If the guy was the last man and about to go through on goal with only Charles to beat i would understand but pulling his shirt to stop a header which could have just landed in the keepers lap or even missed the target completely means he almost cost us a point. He cost us last year v Wrexham and still hasnt learned his lesson.

My initial thought was it was a perfect cross to the back post that even had Charles flat footed in the centre of the goal. It seemed to me almost an open goal tap in header to score in the keepers top right corner, left from the camera position.

I'll look at the highlights tomorrow for sure.
Yeah, i was at that Wrexham game and Mbengue completely lost the plot there. I left the ground dazed and jn need of an emergency beer infusionComment
