Man City 3 - 2 QPR (2012)

Peter Schmicheal thinks -25pts for city every season over the next 5 years. Christ they could still finish on 75pts finish 3rd and qualify for the champions league. Don't think he's thought about it properly, I know he played for them but I didn't think he'd have such a bias take on it as he knows what it's like winning titles when also not cheating

I quite like this idea, yes they may do well, but also they could struggle and end up being relegated multiple times.

If they were to be given an automatic relegation, they'd simply bounce back and deprive another team ( us?) of their chance at promotion.

It's chalk and cheese.. we actually overspent in the EFL, not the Prem. We didn't hide it either. We were undone by getting relegated and were done on ridiculously draconian rules that were drastically watered down after they punished us - if we'd have stayed up, we'd have just quietly paid whatever fine was levied and enjoyed another season (or more) in The Prem. Leicester and Bournemouth did exactly that when they went up (and stayed up).

Comparing our one season overspend in the EFL under now abandoned rules to City's systematic overspending, subterfuge and blatant lying over several seasons AND their subsequent obstructive stance to the investigation is like comparing a parking violation to a murder spree...

They have to be thrown out of the "92" - nothing else makes sense, they are a stain on the competition.

I think we both know getting thrown out of the 92 will never happen. I though my idea on punishment was very harsh, and and subsequent stance, demonstrates that there will always be fans who will think they got away with it. I dont think there'll be anything close to my suggested punishment.

The sooner this is sort and their "star" head off to Germany & Spain the better. . Preferably in Jan!!
