Sorry to be pedantic but I don't think that's quite true. His play and approach are energetic and enthusistic but he can barely do 60 mins.Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostExcellent news......that boy has got some engine!!
But, that seems normal, maybe even acceptable for non-defensive players nowadays so I'm not criticising him and I'm pleased we've tied him down - he's a key part of our matchday 16 whether starting or coming off the bench.

You may well be right, but my take is his powers of recovery after those sprints means he's a super fit lad. As a keen amateur LB, who was lightening quick, I can only marvel at this speed and powers of recovery. I doubt there's many in the squad with his pace and the ability to do it again shortly after.Originally posted by Abseits View Post

I suspect it's the performance guys and their 'blah blah loading blah blah' thats dictates the amount of time he spends on the pitch. Better to have 60 mins of high intensity and haul him off for a fresh pair of legs. Armstrong was the same....lightening quick high intensity within 50-70% of the game.
Perhaps.........??

Surprised.
Last two years, signed Dembele, Saito, Poku and Vale for his position. Include Chair, six experienced players for two spots.
Same with Frey, we signed two forwards, then extend his contract.
No joined up thinking.
Norry talks great game with young players, got to be playing by 19 etc, lacks courage to release 1st team squad players.
