On the subject of full backs I honestly can’t remember the last time we signed an out and out right back Todd Kane?

our full back options for the last few years has been terrible

re a decent number 8 credit to Madsen him or Burrell been our player of the season to date I know he’s not a out and out 8 but he’s all we’ve got in terms of cm creativity

The focus on left back is important but at least we have Rhys (for now). The fact that we don't have a single Rb is another one. No number 8 of any real measure of worth is another.

Ronnie is a great signing and will add a lot to the team. If after this season ends we're still playing peg games outside of injuries then huge questions must be asked about our recruitment and those responsible.

We have JCS to return too.
Mbengue def is not left footed. Only uses it to stand on!! God help us if Adamson has to play. He's not good enough for the Championship. We need to sign a proper left back. Not playing guys there who can give it a go for a game. Thats not a solution.

Wonder if that sale has been cancelled now or if there is someone else we are looking to bring in because I don't know what the plan is for Left back for the rest of the season, it can't just be go with RND only?

Field has to go. He's completely gone to pot. He's hopeless as an emergency left back but I hoped he'd do better coming on in his more familiar role last night. But no, he was awful still. He's a shadow of his former self but he needs a fresh start somewhere else to recover his mojo.

The prob we have now is that we have spent all our budget on one player, Edwards which i agree was the best thing for a long term investment. The only thing now is that we have no money left to bring anyone else in that is half decent! Cook is playing well and Ronnie is sat on the bench. We look a bit silly all of a sudden. We badly need a proper number 9. Kone is a terrible target man. Cant hold on to the ball and looks to be struggling. Our issue now is we cant drop him!!

Bennie is league 2 standard. Offered nothing all night other than run around without knowing what he was supposed to be doing. We also need a left back urgently. If RND goes down we are left with field. Wtf is going on???

Field hasn't had much game time and if theres some interest, with a transfer fee, we have to take it. Varane's value seems to have peaked and it's time to cash in. Frey rumoured to be on the way out too.

Morgan can step up and Haydon is going well. And obviously Kollie, the new striker and a couple of the young Australian lads.

I think we're cashing out on players who have maxed their peak value and reducing budget on older fringe older players, and recruiting young again. It fits into the model, just a Jan thing in addition to a summer thing. There's also Ronnie's fee and wages to balance. All part of supporting a small club trying to be financially sensible.
Forget about the Aussie lads , my son now lives in OZ and he said the A league standard over there is like national league south over here and be honest it has shown when they've played for us

Burrel was a first team player at Burton , this kid coul'dnt get in Lincoln's first eleven , will gladly give him a chance but won't hold my breath. Typical of us to sign players like this though

He wants regular football in a bid to push for Scotland's world cup squad.

It wouldnt suprise me with his lack of game time, but it would leave us short if both he and Varane went, unless others came in.
