I think we paid £250k for him injured six months before he became a free agent and injury free. We feared he'd go elsewhere so we nabbed him early! That's how much we rated him. I assume by getting him early Chelsea will get a sell on percentage too?

It's near impossible to know for sure, but we do know the deal went in Chelsea's favour by signing him when we did. We could have waited until he was a free agent, but might have missed out on his signature. I have no idea where I got the £250k from, but it was rattling around my head.....!!
