  • Ben Hamer

We've signed goalkeeper Ben Hamer on short term deal due to Joe Walsh being injured. It's on the official site.

Would have loved to see Cooper back because hes done well at Swindon & Barnsley. But I guess for his long term progression hes better where he is as Nos 1 at Barnsley. Its a shame Walsh didn't get first team experience before starting as our Nos 1.

Hamer is an experienced keeper, but hasnt done much the last year and is 37 yrs! I doubt it really matters through as Id be suprised if he gets used.

He'll be 38 next wk but like sheep has said he hopefully won't be called upon and you're very limited in what free agents are available, there tends to be a reason though why they've still found themselves without a club.
The injury to Walsh I hate to say it, is a blessing in disguise because we now find ourselves in a situation where the better keeper the real No1 finds himself back in the starting 11. There clearly are issues with Nardi and the manager and you would have hoped the latter could see beyond that but instead he decided to play the keeper who's distribution and confidence was shot. I won't have a pop at Julian because he hasn't really done much wrong.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
