When the dust settles, the window closes, injury situation eases and we know what cards we have to play with.
Ilias remains our big enigma. He is an excellent player, great servant and I won't say anything bad about him. However recent managers have all failed to get the best out of him, injury situation acknowledged.
He seems to merit automatic selection but I feel, as I have always done, that his inclusion, throws the attack out of kilter. The space we need him to occupy, he generally doesnt, and he kind of does his own thing.
    Anybody agree?

He made 3 good open play chances last weekend so let’s see how he does in middle . Our link up play is much improved to me so far anyway

Could he play in a front 2?

He’s quick, skilful and he know’s where the goal is.

Thought his work rate off the ball Saturday was excellent , but when he has the ball he just holds on to it for to long and is to obvious.
I'd rather he attacked and lost the ball than keep checking back and passing it back ....take a risk man

Can still generate a bit of magic with ball at his feet. He does however need an injury free run in the side. I'm not sure when his contract ends, but I feel he needs to rediscover his best form otherwise this may well be his last season with us.

Too often takes wild shots at goal. 44 shots for 2 goals last season.

Previous season 115 shots for 7 goals.

Too greedy for me. He needs to get to byline, cross it.

Chair is a decent player for us but occasionally holds onto the ball for too long. Now we have pacier players he needs to give them the ball , so they can take players on and get balls into the box. Also needs to get into the box himself and get on the end of chances rather than always shooting from distance. He is good at retaining possesion and has a good first touch just needs to play the ball a bit quicker. He looks a lot fitter this season so hopefully he will have a good season.
