    Mittal's stake in QPR

    "The Mittal Family has also taken the opportunity to increase its shareholding in the club"

    That is a direct quote from the fish.

    Does anyone know by how much they have increased their stake?

    It occurred to me that they may only have bought one share or a similar token gesture designed to appease the fans.

    Well this is why I'm staying sceptical until there is some official literature with regards to the ownership.

    It just being a boardroom shuffle is niggling at me for some reason

      I'm not skeptical. I would just prefer to know how much of Flavio's stake they bought.

      Is Flavio, or his company, still the majority shareholder?

        Not sure how to do the cut and paste thing BUT....

        The Daily Mail state that Mittal has bought 'the majority' of Flavios shares!!

        I know its journolism but thats good enough for me

                What? They swapped their steel empire for a sunbed?

                    Well thats completely wrong. GP owns a large amount of shares, Gerry Francis still owns a large amount of shares plus a lot of supporters own shares too. I'd say its more 30-40% is owned by the Mittals, 15-20% Flavio, 20% Bernie and the rest is split up between other parties.

                        I've got 175 of them, not the wisest investment I've ever made.
                        I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

                          As far as i remember, Mitta, Flav and Bernie brought an inital +60% (as stated in the papers) but then went onto to buy +90% buy chose not to take the final 10% as it was was not enough to cause them any difficuties and it was held by us the fans (who most just wanted to own a small part of love more than anything).

                          Pretty sure thats how it went.

                            I found this report last week which suggests Briatore originally bought 54% then sold 20% to Mittal. Bernie has 15%. The remaining 31% is still held by smaller shareholders;

                            http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...ing-spree.html

                            So Briatore was the majority shareholder with 34%. He has most likely just sold 14% to Mittal.

                            That would mean currently;

                            Mittal 34%
                            Flav 20%
                            Bernie 15%
                            Small shareholders the remaining 31%
