I trust our CEO after the business he concluded in the summer transfer window. However, I am a bit concerned that we have too many important players that will be free agents by the end of this season. The likes of Cook, Dunne, Smyth, Paal, Lucas, Frey. Am I the only one concerned? Maybe as shown already, Marti and Mr. Nourry has better ideas of how to streghten the team.

At the moment, in my opinion, you are in a very small group.
At the appropriate time Nourry will sort his spreadsheet by contract expiry date and then sort them one by one.
Personally, I think Nourry will be poached by bigger fish than us.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

I think what Martin is referring to isn't about quantity but more quality as the list clearly represents 1st team starters sheep.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!Comment

That is exactly my point. All the players mentioned are in the first team and doing very well. If nothing is done now, in January we may encounter problems. I am sure some wants to stay, however, others may be tempted by better wages elsewhere.Comment

Not worried about contracts expiring. Dunne, Paal, Cook, Smyth and Chair, nobody wants to buy them. We have to let them go, find younger players with potential, 21-23 years old. Business model. Develop and sell young players. You don't achieve that filling team with players around 26-33 years old.Comment

True.....but Cook is getting on will be replaced and many fans on here dont rate Smyth & Paal. Nobody has come in to buy Dunne so I think its safe to say he'll be offered fresh terms. And Frey hasn't established himself to the point where it would be a disaster if he left.
I don't see this situation being a potential issue. The people we have in place seem quite capable of dealing with the ever revolving door of football players.Comment

There are not that many £12,000 a week jobs going in West London, if I was Jimmy Dunne and co I would grab what is offered by Queens Park Rangers with both hands, they ain’t going to get any better.
Regular football in a fast improving team with great supporters, what is not to like.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Also, isn't Cook's replacement already in the building? We have already signed Liam Morrison and Hawkings may progress to the first team too.
Also........Willock who????Last edited by SheepRanger; 08-09-2024, 09:19 AM.Comment

Willock was so-say great player and a huge loss. We've replaced him with better in my opinion. No dramas this window and next summee will be the same.Comment

This suggests we have an option to buy Dembele
