Mendy or Kpekewa
In season 2015 we were offered and negotiated a deal to bring Mendy from a French club for just £150,000. At the time we also had Kpekewa at the club, similar to Nico that we have today! Eventually, our experts that are running the club decided that the player we have in our youths is much better. The outcome: Kpekawa is currently playing in the National league, while Mendy went on to sign for Real Madrid in a £50 million deal.
Everytime I read these kind of stories I feel sick. I cannot understand how the club is building a system to pick quality young players when they always get it wrong!
