  • Dieng

Wasn’t able to take goal kicks 2nd half. Would be good to have an update on him. Archer doesn’t fill me with confidence and if Dieng was injured, why didn’t Beale sub him off?

    Sounds like a groin issue?

Groin / abductor muscle/ thigh ... Suffered for decades the only thing that makes it better is rest . Stretching only makes it worse

Hope we're not into last season problems. As soon as Willock and Dieng got injured, we started our decline. Pity as we just hit top gear.

Dieng also. Injuries mean no offers from Premier league clubs a la Willock

Hopefully a bit more strength in depth this time with Roberts able to play in Willocks position as can Taylor Richards who is now training again. Amos returning to full fitness is a massive plus too.

Archer will need to be trusted to replace Seny but I can’t remember the last time he actually played a game at any level (U23’s etc)?

He got injured in an FA Cup penalty shoot out against Premier League Everton didn't he? My memory is shot but I think I'm right. He played well also if memory serves.

Archer looked perfectly adequate. His injury was a bit worrying in that it looked very innocuous, you'd assume a goalie would be able to make a regulation full-length save without destroying their shoulder. Makes me worry he'll be breaking down if there's a strong breeze about and we'll be down to just young Murphy? I see Kieran Westwood is still unattached since leaving us - maybe a 3-month emergency thing might be allowed?
